When informed I had three months to train from scratch before the London Marathon, I panicked. I had never before jogged more than two miles – how on earth was I going to run just over 26? The answer was Emily.
Without her constant (in this order!) patience, calming influence, motivation, running and fitness tips, and nutritional recommendations, I would have been scuppered. And would have probably feigned an ankle injury to dodge my responsibility!

Emily Hogarth has been my personal trainer for the last 3 months. We agreed on a target when we first met, which we achieved by the time I went on holiday, 7 weeks later.
It was to increase the strength of my upper body and legs and to make changes to my diet. The physical sessions were actually fun and I loved the exercises Emily devised for me, especially the ones I could do anywhere and which needed no apparatus.
However, I really enjoyed our conversations about health and nutrition. Emily’s intelligence and knowledge of the subject is impressive but what Emily has done, (and no one has done before) is to make me re-think my lifestyle with goals that certainly push me but which feel attainable.
It is a bit like putting your car in for a service. I honed and toned alright, but also shaken, hovered, polished and buffed!

What can I say...Thank you SO much for all your support over the last 3 months. If I wasn't doing this the i reckon I'd have fallen apart. Nothing I've ever done as worked so losing 2 stone in 3 months is just amazing for me.

What can a detox do for you? Here's a few words from a client...
*Why did I detox?*I decided to detox due to the fact that I had been eating and drinking unhealthy for some time and became quite depressed in my day to day life.
I believed that doing an intensive detox would help me to become more focused mentally and of course would make me feel more healthy.
*What did I get out of detoxing?*The first couple of days into the detox were very hard. My body was craving alcohol, caffeine, salt and sugar, which caused me to have very low energy levels and intense headaches. However on the 3rd day I began to feel like I had bags of energy and my mind was able to think more clearly.
*What did I learn - Why did it help?*I learnt that by changing your diet and introducing healthy foods, such as fresh veg, fresh fruit and of course juices, plus exercise can really make you feel so much happier and healthy. Without a doubt the detox that I entered into helped me to become more focused with what I want out of life as my mind was able to think clearer and I was able to make life changing decisions that I believe I would not have been able to even contemplate on my old diet.
*Why would I recommend a weeks intensive detox to someone?*In a nutshell I feel like a brand new person. I feel as though I have a new lease in life. I have 100% more energy, I feel focused, happy and healthy. I would recommend anyone who feels that their current diet is hindering their health, plus anyone who has low self esteem, is suffering with depression, like I was, to try this detox. Since finishing the detox I have returned home and feel so much happier, not just in my health, but my mind and my relationship with my husband has improved, due to my new outlook on life and my positive attitude, I feel that no task is too big for me to conquer - this is all down to the detox that Emily suggested I undertake. By the end of the detox I felt as though I was a different person. I no longer felt depressed or on edge, instead I now feel extremely happy, something I had not felt in a long time prior to the detox.

I've really enjoyed training with Emily and following her nutritional advice. She tailored everything towards my particular situation and helped me achieve my goal of losing over 1 stone in post-pregnancy weight in just 6 weeks. However, her methods weren't a 'quick fix' they were done in a controlled and realistic way, which has meant the weight has stayed off.
The great thing is that Emily showed me exercises to do at home and I could train with my baby next to me. Also, I could see a improvement in my strength every week (especially my stomach muscles after having a C-section).
I would recommend Emily to anyone wanting to lose weight and tone up after having a baby, she is motivating and fun!
